Camping-Sunday

We all woke up and kind of hung out and ate breakfast. Packed up and hung out some more (this was taking way too long). Brent and I drove around the campsite so Kendra could fall asleep in her carseat to get her morning nap-which worked out well. Then we went out on the boat. Kendra and I rode in Jennifer and Joe's boat. We all went across the lake and found a shore to hang out on. Kendra and I stayed on the boat pretty much. Brent took Kendra in the water for a little bit and she seemed to have fun. I'm glad she can't walk because everyone that stood in the water got leeches on their feet!! Gross! They were small ones, but I still wouldn't want them on me or my baby!

Camping-Saturday Continued

Jana, Greg, Matt and Whit all left pretty early. Kendra was exhausted, so we headed back to camp to give her a nap. She fell asleep in the car (less than 5 minute ride) and I thought if I took her out and transferred her to the pack n play, she would stay asleep. Well, it didn't work. It took me 2 hours to get her back to sleep. I finally got her back to sleep (and could barely stay awake myself), so I took a nap too and Brent called his family to go meet up with them out on the water. I didn't think about the fact I would be stuck in the hot campsite when Kendra woke up a half hour later! It was a boring, miserable afternoon to say the least. I pushed Kendra around the campsite in her stroller, then we hung out in the shade for a little while.
Brent finally came back and I was in a horrible mood (Kendra was tired, I was hot, bored and moody) and just wanted to leave. So, I did. Then Kendra finally fell asleep again, so I turned around and went back to the campsite. She slept in the car for a while, we ate dinner and hung out and she went to bed pretty easily in the tent once it cooled off. We all hung out and had smores again and talked/visited (we were with Brent's family-sister and cousins and stuff on his Dad's side).

Camping Saturday

We woke up bright and early. Here we are in the tent. Yeah I look like crap, oh well.

Brent and Kendra went back to sleep for a little while and I got up. Greg, Jana and Matt were all up and ready to wakeboard again. Matt dragged Whitney out of bed so he could pack up their tent to get going. Poor Whit! The four of them took off early. Brent, Kendra and I caught up a little while later. Here are more pics from out with them in the morning.

Camping-Friday

So we went camping at Hogan lake (Aug 8-10). We got up there early evening on Friday and set up the tent and the air mattresses and everything. Then we met Greg, Jana, Matt and Whitney out on Greg and Jana's boat (they didn't wait while we set up the tent-they were ready to wakeboard!). Kendra got her first boat ride. She just sat there and took it all in, expressionless. It was kind of funny. I don't think she knew what to even think about it all. We took a bunch of pictures of her on the boat. The first is with Aunty Jana. I handed Kendra to her while I climbed in, then I took some pictures of them. Then Brent and I had to take a bunch of pictures of her with each of us (we wanted to make sure to get a good one!). Boating wore her out fast! We went in as the sun was going down and once we got back to our site, she was ready for bed. She fell asleep in the tent pretty quickly and slept while we ate dinner and made smores and hung out around the campfire. She slept pretty good for being in a tent in the cold (for the first time). She didn't even wake up when I climbed onto the air mattress with her (Brent had his own).

My computer at home took a poop. Hopefully my work IT guy can fix it without me losing everything on it. I hate that computers do that! So, I haven't been able to upload our camping pictures and I have no time at work to do it. I am typing one-handed now as I pump so I can post these other pics from JCPenney. She is so cute. (haha, of course I think so). The lady gave her the flower to play with to get her to sit still for pictures. I had to hide it from her once I took it away from her because she kept trying to get it. I had to keep pulling it away from her mouth too because she wanted to eat it!

A few pics

We went camping over the weekend... I'll post about it later when I have more time. I just wanted to quickly post a few pics and a story about this morning. Brent took Kendra to daycare as usual. He sat her down on the ground and she started screaming. He picked her back up and she immediately stopped. Then it repeated. One of the girls that works there (Kendra knows/likes all of them-finally!) came over to take her and Kendra turned away from the girl and grabbed/squeezed Brent's neck (like, don't let me go Dad!)! He felt so bad. He had to leave with her crying. I would've felt really bad too! He said he looked in the window a few minutes later and she had calmed down, but it was still hard. The separation anxiety must finally be here! These are 9 month pro pictures I had taken at JCPenney. They finally got posted online for me! I got pics in two different outfits, so I'll post the one's in the other outfit another day (something to look forward too)!

9 months old!!

Okay, so this is getting posted a little late, but at least it's getting posted. I was so frustrated with everything (I'm a little stressed out). I gave Kendra a bath and she kept trying to climb out, then I was trying to get her dressed and she kept trying to get away from me and was getting mad at me. Then, I'm trying to take her picture and she wouldn't sit still or smile for me. I about lost it! I said, "UGH!!! Just smile so I can take a picture!! That's all I want!!" I said it in a very frustrated, fed-up voice. And this is how she replied (I had to quickly change my camera to video to get this):

I thought it was cute! Anyway, here is her 9 month photo shoot. I had professional 9 month photo's taken over the weekend. They won't be back for 2 weeks, but they are pretty cute.

Beach trip

So Busy!

It's not even funny how busy I have been at work. I could cry. But I won't go into that. I am uploading pictures from our beach trip onto a slide show, then I will do the same with Kendra's 9 month photo shoot.

She has 8 teeth now! I can't believe how fast they pop through, two at a time! We went up to the cabin last night. We went to Jackson Rancheria for dinner for Matthew's (my brother) birthday. I can't even think of what I have written about and what I haven't because I haven't kept up on here so well lately! Brent and I have now been together for 6 years as of yesterday. Time flies, and it does even faster now that Kendra is here.

She is scooting all over the living room and kitchen. She likes playing with an empty diaper box, so I put her in it to get some pictures.

She says 'mamama' and 'dadada' a lot. I also think she says 'nigh-nigh-nigh' when she's tired because I always tell her we are going night-night! My mom seems to think she said, "book" the other day when she was watching her. I don't know about that one though. She has an attitude already and is very independent. She likes to do things herself and gets mad and pushes our hands away when we try to play with her toys. We've been told she is quite the little bully at daycare with the other babies. But we have also seen the toddlers push her around! Here she is getting into stuff she shouldn't be.

I have to add this video of her turning in circles. I don't know why she does it, but she does it a lot! It's so funny!

Tooth #7 is through!!

And I can tell #8 is coming at any time. Poor thing was a handful last night! She kept yelling out (Ahh!) and then she would hit herself in the mouth! And she was SO tired but it took her forever to actually go to sleep. She's 9 months old today!!! Yay!

Been Busy!

It's been a while. I have been SUPER busy at work. My boss has given me the responsibilities of someone else's full time job on top of the resposibilities I already had. I don't have enough time in the day to get it all done!! It's crazy. I haven't had time to upload my own pictures, but these are a few my mom sent me. We went to Bodega Bay last weekend with my family for my birthday. I wanted to take Kendra to the beach and get some cute pictures. It was cold and windy there, so I was a little disappointed. The week or two before it was supposedly nice and warm there! Oh well, it was still nice to get away. Here is Brent holding Kendra at dinner (not sure if this is before or after we ate), Brent, Kendra and I looking at the ocean, and Kendra and I on the beach. I'll write more and share more pictures later!

A picture or two

Just wanted to share a picture I took (when I was taking her 8 month pictures). I thought it was cute.

And the daycare sent me a picture (taken by camera phone) one day of Kendra being cute through the window divide... I don't think I posted it yet.

It's Official!

We have a crawler (well, a scoot-er). At the beginning of the weekend, we had to entice her to get her to crawl to us. We had to move all of her toys away from her and have just one toy out in front of her (the remote worked well). By last night, she was scooting around the living room on her own. She realized she could go after fuzz on the floor (and try to eat it) or make her way to my magazine rack (and rip the magazines and eat the paper). I guess it's time for us to babyproof the house!

Funny Hair

Kendra woke up with funny hair this morning. I took a picture with my camera phone. It was better than this before Brent tried to smooth it out, but it's still pretty cute!









When she was taking a bath the other night, I decided to play with her hair. I'm going to make it into a slide show instead of adding them all here, one by one.

Kendra comes home from daycare SO tired. She came home the other night and I fed her (green beans and rice cereal-she loves green beans!) and she was very tired so I nursed her and she fell asleep on the couch. A few minutes later, she started tossing and turning and fussing (and waking up). So Brent picked her up, she burped, then fell asleep on his shoulder! She never falls asleep like that anymore! It was so cute that I had to grab the camera.

Stuff to share

This is a pretty lame post, but I wanted to share a few things! First is the shirt Kendra made for Brent for Fathers Day. I never got Brent to actually put it on, but I did take a picture of it so I could share.

And the other thing I wanted to share was my newfound breakfast cereal:

I found it at Wal-mart if you are jealous and want to buy it too. I would never give it to my kid though. Or, if I did, I would mix it with something without sugar. It is PURE sugar. The worst cereal I have ever had. It tastes good, but it is WAY sweet. The cereal is pink and purple hearts, that taste like the crunchberries in Cap'n Crunch. And it has marshmellows (like the ones in lucky charms). No grain to make up for all of this sugar overload. I can't believe a company would be allowed to make and sell something like this to children. What would I do if Kendra were older and screaming that she wanted the Barbie cereal? I don't think I am strong enough to say no to her. Lord knows I can't do it now! I guess I need to remember to mix it in with another cereal... or do like Roseanne would do on her show-save the box and put a different cereal bag inside!!
