Kendra had her 6 month well baby visit yesterday. She looks good. She is 15 lbs 15.5 oz. Only up about 1/2 pound from 5 months. Now she is in the 50th percentile for weight (she was over 90% in the beginning). The doctor didn't seem too concerned. We are all assuming it's because she doesn't really like to eat from the bottle at daycare. She is now 26.5 inches long (she has grown 1 inch since her 4 month appt-wasn't measured at 5 months). She has a bit of a rash on her tummy and back, the doc just says it's probably dry skin and to keep putting lotion on it.
Kendra had one oral vaccination (she cried with that as much as she did with the shots!) and 3 shots. She cried, but took it like a champ and was happy all evening and this morning. (Meanwhile, my arm still hurts from my tetanus shot last friday!). She's home with Dad today, who isn't feeling well. He better not get baby sick!
Jane's funeral is friday morning in Modesto. Her obituary is posted on Modesto bee, here is the link:

Portraits
We got our family pictures and Kendra's 6 month pictures taken last Sunday. Here are a few of them. I couldn't get Kendra to cooperate and sit up in her cute little outfit. I got one of her sitting up and the little thing they put around her is showing and she is not smiling-not very cute. And I blame the photographer. She could've put a white cloth over the thing and it would've looked better. Whatever. She was fat and had bad acne. The huge zit on her face made Kendra smile for the pictures though. Every time Kendra would smile for a picture I just kept thinking to myself that she must be laughing at that lady's huge zit (or faceful of them)! I know, that is so horrible to say. I apologize. Here we are:

The Weekend
We spent Sunday with my parents and family to celebrate Ken (Dad) and Karie (Mom) turning another year older. Here are a couple pictures of them with the grand kids:
Kendra is thinking here **if Grandma is going to pull my dress up, I'm going to pull Courtney's dress up too!**
Kendra got to check out grass for the first time too. We don't really have nice grass for her to explore at home, so I took this opportunity to let her see it/touch it. She didn't really seem to pay much attention to it.
Kendra has a *new* thing. She learned to stick her tongue out and blow raspberries. It is the cutest thing. I'll have to try to get it on video to post. She imitates us when we do it too. She must like the way it feels or something.
Her other new thing is to wake up at 2am. She has for the past two nights. I am not enjoying this at all. I miss my baby that slept through the night. Here's to hoping she goes back to normal and doesn't wake up tonight!

Zoo Trip
So we took Kendra to the zoo last weekend. We went to the Folsom Zoo... probably should've gone to the Sacramento zoo instead. It was pretty lame-o. Kendra didn't really know what to think about the animals. She just stared at them. It was too cute. I have pictures at home, so I'll have to try and remember to post them. She got to see chickens (lame), wolves, coyotes, goats, and any other animal we could've seen on our own in the wild or out in Rio Linda!! They were cleaning the bear cage, so he was way back in a smaller cage and was kind of hard to see. He was probably the only cool animal there. They even had cats. Yes, house cats. All in a cage. With a sign saying that you could adopt one if you want. So weird. The ONLY thing worth anything at that zoo would be the train ride. Which we didn't even go on because Kendra is too little for that sort of thing anyway.
**Hoping to go get Kendra's 6 month pictures taken this weekend**
**Stay right over there chicken... don't come any closer!!**

Bad Night!
So last night was not a very good night. Kendra went down well at around 8:45 pm, only to wake up around 11:30 crying. I didn't realize what time it was (or I probably would have just tried to give her the pacifier) and I fed her back to sleep. Then she woke up crying about 5 minutes later. She was up crying for an hour (but was so tired that she would start falling asleep, then start crying again-over and over)! I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I finally gave her some mylicon and fed her back to sleep and she finally stayed asleep. I felt so bad for her and I was SO tired. Not in the mood for a crying baby! She farted it up this morning... finally getting it all out! LOL! I'm surprised I'm not falling asleep here at my desk.
She's wearing one of her cute new outfits that we got her this weekend, warm weather expected today. I'll try to remember to take a picture of her when I get home from work to post (now posted). That's if she doesn't blow out of it like she has the last couple of days!

The first one.
So, it's about time that I start a blog! I did one when I was pregnant, just in the beginning. Then I did the baby website while I was pregnant. I figure that I should just use this as my electronic baby book, then everyone can see everything that is going on!
I'll write more later, I just wanted to get started.
